 COMUNICATO

In seguito al continuo vociferare che si sta diffondendo nell’ultimo periodo in pista e negli ambienti del kart, in riferimento ad un’imminente chiusura della Maranello Kart, siamo a diffondere il seguente comunicato per informare tutti i nostri clienti, rivenditori e gli appassionati del settore, che la ditta Maranello Kart non ha nessuna intenzione di chiudere i battenti, anzi al contrario di quanto detto sino ad ora sta lavorando al futuro, quindi al 2010, sviluppando due grandi novità;

PRESS

Following the ongoing rumor that is spreading in the paddock and in the environments of the Karting world, with reference to the imminent closure of the Maranello Kart, we spread the following statement to inform all our customers, dealers and fans sector, in which the company Maranello Kart has no plans to close its doors, quite the opposite of what has been said so far we are working towards 2010 and the future, developing two major new projects;

In December of this year we will give life to Maranello Engine KF and KZ. A new challenge Armando Filini and his associates from Maranello Kart, have been proposed to be increasingly competitive and keep pace with market demands, which becomes every year more and more demanding. The engine that comes from the experience, gained in the field of motorsport in these years of racing will be available later this year.

The second big announcement is the Racing Department. With the result of the company producing the Maranello Engines, we have had to modify the structure and organization of the company. The Racing Team will be moving to a another location, not far from the main factory. The Racing Team which will be known as Maranello Kart Ltd, led by our team manager Euan Jeffery and the usual staff who until now has won countless results. The Racing Team is already working on the selection of drivers who will compete next season in hopes of finding new talent in motorsport like Finnish driver Aaro Vainio, who will move to Formula category from 2010, following the trail of the French driver Jules Bianchi, who this year after winning the Formula 3 Euro Series title in 2009, will move to GP2 in the coming season.

With the hope to be able to give new emotions and success for everyone, we thank all those who have always believed and worked with our company and have made our successes possible.

 FWT ANNOUNCES SECOND INTERNATIONAL KARTING ALLIANCE

Formula Kart Productions, exclusive owner and promoter of the Florida Winter Tour, announces a new international karting alliance with the U.K.’s Formula Kart Stars series.

 “I am so delighted to have this new collaboration across the pond between America and the UK”, states Carolyn Hoy, executive director of FKS.  “Bill Wright, owner of the FWT, does a tremendous job and the competition comes from around the globe.  This is purely a one-of-a-kind series with a level of competition which can’t be found with any other series in the Americas.”

 “In February we announced an international alliance with the French Grand Prix Open (GPO) series. I am excited and honored to have the chance to work with another historic and prestigious kart racing program like the FKS” stated FWT’s Bill Wright. “The level of competition at FKS is world class, and therefore a perfect match with the FWT. I look forward to welcoming the 2009 FKS Champions over for some “Serious Fun!” at the 2010 FWT.”

 Maranello importer Michael Ferrucci: “I’m ecstatic to have a chance to host the champions from FKS at the FWT. Santino and I have been fortunate enough to race in the UK with Carolynn and at the FWT with Bill. They both operate a first class show with extremely talented drivers.”

 The FKS is backed by Formula One Management and has the strap line “the road to Formula 1 through Racing and Education”. The series is televised and is broadcast on Sky Sports as nine weekly 30 minute episodes at prime time.  Adopted by Formula 1 it is planned that ultimately the Championship will support Formula 1 races.

Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton began his racing career here in FKS and has stayed involved ever since. In 2004 he became our Patron and this year Lewis father Anthony Hamilton became president of our Club.
