Maranello Kart has been protagonist with Lorenzo Giannoni at the first round of the Italian Championship held in Triscina (Sicily). Tommaso Mosca will join the team's lineup for the championship from the next race of Sarno.
Maranello Kart's season debut in the Italian ACI Karting Championship in Triscina, Sicily, has been very positive. Lorenzo Giannoni and Team KCL Racing assisted by Alessandro Levriatti have always been among the main protagonists of the event in KZ2 being quite combative in the races.
The fast International Circuit of Triscina saw 46 of the strongest national drivers on track and Lorenzo Giannoni has been competing on the new chassis by Maranello Kart, shining since the heats recovering brilliantly from P17 of qualifying to the eighth place.
Due to a contact in the initial laps, Giannoni has been forced to get back some ground in race-1 ending 11th after slipping down to P18. In race-2, the Maranello Kart driver put in another recovery race and managed to find his way to the leading group ending with a great 7th place.
Great performances for Maranello Kart were also put in by Mirko Colombo, who set the 13th time in qualifying and then the ninth in race-1, a good result that unfortunately was not followed by another feat in race-2, as he was forced to the retirement only 3 laps into the race.
Maranello Kart came home from the round of Triscina with the awareness of scoring a very good performance. Tommaso Mosca will join forces with the Maranello Kart's works team from the next round of the Italian Championship on, race scheduled for 7th June in Sarno. He will have the support of Stefano Griggio.
