Everything is ready in Genk for the start of the KZ and KZ2 European Championships. After the two continental races dedicated to non-shifter classes, the big karting show is ready to kick off the title hunt for gear-shift categories that after Belgium will go to Germany and then to Kristianstad, Sweden.
The list of names everyone is eager to see on track includes the boys of the Italia factory’s racing team, who are doing very well this season.
Marco Zanchetta and Lorenzo Camplese are among the drivers to keep an eye on in the premiere round that opens on June 12th with free practice and gets the action rolling on Friday June 13th with the qualifyings.
After the success registered in the Italian Championship, where Zanchetta and Camplese shared race victories in round one, the team believes that it will be able to play a role also on the European field: the material is doing well and drivers and technical staff are in great shape. Of course, anything can happen during a race weekend, but Maranello Racing is ready to face the challenge with enthusiasm and determination.
The European debut is not the only news on the Maranello agenda. On the Italian front, the team is happy to announce the arrival of Rotax DD2 driver Ennio Sessa. His personal debut with the team will also be this next weekend, June 14-15, for the Italian Rotax Max Challenge round taking place in Precenicco.
